I’m Brianna Murphy, a 23 year old artist from South Florida. I discovered oil painting at 9 years old and never looked back; it allows me to bring to life the way that I see the world, the way that I wish everyone saw it. My paintings are meant to capture the images I wish people could see when they look out their window — for as beautiful as the world is, we frequently find ourselves too busy to explore it.

As a mostly self-taught artist (save a few lessons when I was a pre-teen), I find the continuous education process to be vital. Though I have been painting for longer than I can remember being alive, I am constantly learning new techniques and old fundamentals in order to better my paintings, my process, and myself.

You’ll find my favorite things to paint are those I find most breathtaking — water, mountains, the sky — basically any landscape I can get my hands on. I’ve painted so many that I frequently find myself making up entire landscapes from no reference at all, discovering what they look like only once the painting is complete.
